Hello, everyone. And thank you for being a treasure trove of infomation already. Several really good forums that are of interest.
The family and i are some what anxious about venturing into this, and I have some scarred memories from campsites as a child. (If anyone has seen a certain father ted episode in a caravan, then you'll understand) but together with my partner, 4 year old and myself we are hoping to explore around a bit more together. (It's also to stop me disappearing up hill in a tent on my own!)

First trial with the campervan next week when we actually get it, is to find somewhere, where ideally has a park and a swimming pool, as my son loves water and well... parks.

Hopefully I'll find the right place to look for areas and post. Forgiveness is requested preemptively if i post in the wrong place. :ROFLMAO: Cheers.

Welcome to Fun (y)

As you live in Perth, you're not a million miles from Stonehaven where there is an excellent CAMC Site.

Well situated next to the beach, there is a heated swimming pool next door and a small childrens playground on site.

Enjoy your motorhome!

Forgiveness granted for/if posting in the wrong forums (y) I still find it a nightmare finding the right section, don't worry though it will get seen wherever you post it, welcome to the Fun and enjoy your travels.

Hi and welcome, your wee one will love the van. There’s plenty of resources to help you find the ideal stop over.

Hello and welcome
I’m from Perth too! 👍😁
Although currently in Spain with my van and have been since the start of November.😎

Welcome, from another Perth resident. Park in the South Inch and then go to the swimming pool in the town :)

Hello! Thank you very much... I had a wee look, and that looks like a good option. Slowly building a Google maps favourite list. We joined the camc, so we need to assess the overall benefits of their campsites. And your right, not far away at all..I would probably actually do a large circular and come back via Braemar, as it's such a nice drive that way.

Hi, ah that's great to meet people from the same area. I told my partner about the message from you being in Perth, and now in Spain. Her reply was... "can we follow them next year" 🤣 I would love to pick your brains at some point on your experience, having never travelled abroad before, (apart from one ropey experience in a hire car in Norway, with so much snow and ice, I spent the entirety of it driving like my first ever driving lesson!)

Hi there, Great to now meet two Perth residents. Not there are three . 😀
We have been to the local swimming pool before, but sadly the sorry state that's it's in now, means we won't go again. South Inch is a fantastic park for kids though.

And we’re off to Spain too…
