Hi our fridge is clicking on the gas setting but not ignighting

Make and model of fridge would help.
The thermocouple sometimes gives trouble and is an easy job to replace if you have access to the back of the fridge.
But cleaning the flue is a good place to start

youtube will give you some ideas.
As above. You need to confirm that gas is getting through, check the burner is clean and also where the thermocoupler is situated. (y)

Could be air in gas line try switching off fridge completely and back on again usually more than once till the gas gets through.
Also on my home there is a long delay after the engine has stopped so that it doesn’t ignite in a petrol station.

Always check that you
can light the gas hobs and that you get a good blue flame. This eliminates a lot of potential problems first.
If you are anything like me I usually remember that I had turned off at the bottle or under the sink!
If you do get good strong hob flames, the fridge should light unless you have turned off the fridge safety gas tap under the sink area.
After that, you need to check inside the external covers of the fridge as you may find a spider's nest or an obvious blockage on the gas burner jet.
Sometimes a good puff of air or a compressed air jet can clear it, but if it isn't obvious, switch to hookup 240v until you can get to someone with gas safe qualifications to unblock the jet.

Also try taking off any electrical connectors and cleaning them. One at a time so you don't get them mixed up😁

Check quantity of gas in bottle. If it is ok then open the knob to the lowest of gas output on the fridge, and start it. If it stays and does not click or flikker anymore increase the gas output.

That is a lot of money for an Igniter module I paid £80 and it fitted myself from Jacksons. An accredited fitter quoted me £50 just to come out to look at the fridge having checked gas supply was ok and telling me that in more than 20 yrs in the trade he could count on one hand the number of Igniters he had fitted!! So I ignored him and fitted the unit myself and the fridge worked first time. So much for so called professionals
