Hi I can not get this valve to close tight, are the easy to repair or replace?

Not sure what it is but, from the diagram on it, it appears to have a Phillips screw in the centre of the valve that yours has not got. Could this be the reason it's not closing properly?

Is the square rod straight in the white plug? You can pull the rod out by the wheel. It's only clipped in. There maybe something blocking the thread sealing. You can then reach in the inspection hole and check.

Hi thanks for that, where is the clip located that secures the rod in place

It just clips into the housing. Make sure you support around the wheel. In ours you can grab the rod

through the inspection hole and push it up. You just need to stop the tank bulging upwards to release it. Ours came out quite easy. I don't think it was ever put in right. You can see on the photo where it clips on/off, there's a little cut out. Check is the same as yours before trying.
