Discounts are lower for new subscribers compared to what they were when we took ours out 6 years ago. It's still worth it but just not as much of a saving.

If you have used the service before you will have had an email telling you about the withdrawal of friends & family discount. You are given a phone number to call and you have to quote your previous friends code and name so not a deal open to everyone, I’m afraid.

I joined the other day, they didn't ask me for my "friends" code, although I did have one ready. Cost me £60 to join and I have saved £150 on my first trip, plus free food vouchers! It's a no brainer!
Below is a chart showing the discount rates:

Is there some sort of discount code to get 1/2 price ?
No - I thought my post was quite clear. You must have previously made Brittany Ferries sailings at a discount using a friends and family code and be prepared to quote that friends code and their name if asked.

You could always phone up and try to join without - you will either be pleased or disappointed.

Like Next Stop I joined last week and they didn’t ask for details of any friends or family. They did ask for my login details though so they would have been able see my recent bookings that would have those details on. Worth a try though.

From my reading pet friendly cabins are excluded from the discount?

All cabins are excluded from the discount; it is only the vehicle/passenger fare that is discounted.

Ian
My reading was internal cabins qualified for a discount with the possibility of paying a surcharge for an outside cabin?

They must have changed the rules then?

The discount scheme is a new one and not as generous as the old one which continues for those who were in it before but I have not studied the details.

The cabins are only discounted on the French sailing on certain morning and afternoon sailings.

Save 50% on cabins on morning departures from the UK to France and afternoon departures from France to the UK. Save 33% on Club Class cabins on all day sailings.

Am I correct though that pet friendly cabins are excluded?

Yes.
Subject to availability and must be booked prior to departure. Discounts apply to inside cabins only (upgrade to an outside cabin for a supplement), overnight and Admiral, Commodore, De Luxe, Club Plus, and Pet-friendly cabins excluded from discounts. Cabin benefits do not apply to promotional, holiday or foot passenger fares. Valid for one cabin per sailing (lowest priced cabin only).
