Has anybody any idea when my trumatic heater/fire is clicking. We haven't used it since taking ownership of the motorhome.
The front was all loose so all we've done is push it back on so it doesnt look out of place now all it does it make a ticking noise. We've took the front back off and still making same noise. All electric and gas is off

Sounds like it is trying to ignite on gas but no gas to ignite which would stop the ticking when lit.

Sounds like it could be trying to ignite a non existent gas supply.
Is it a single regular click? Any way that it's still getting 12v?
Someone else with a similar will no doubt appear soon and tell all.

Will it eventually stop? We go away in it tomorrow for the first time and it's driving us mad

Think you’ll find that the battery needs changing in the igniter box, or you’ve somehow turned the fire knob a tiny bit and it’s triggered the igniter.

Where would the battery be? Sorry I'm a total novice

If there, usually at the bottom behind the front cover. If that is the sort of fire I think it is.
Maybe post a photo.

Does it fire up if you turn the gas on?

If there is no battery you could try disconnecting the igniter wire as it would be working off 12v
