i know a lady who told me she goes to the gym and can lift a 100 kilo , so i wondered - what does a motorhome alloy and tyre weigh ? about 25 kilo maybe ?

Another daft question
can you hold your breath for 25kilo? kilo what no KW in this case Ks =416.6 minutes
to your daft question in the Uk we subscribe to SI units (with exemptions) ie Kg Kilo is a multiplier 10cubed like mega 10 to power 6.

Lifting a bar with weights either side, in the correct position can be easier than lugging around a 25kg spare wheel in one hand. Cos you can't carry it with two. (y)

Spare tyre and wheel is about 27kg dead weight but you can roll it along for the most part with very little lifting needed

thanks - i agree, but i think a bit more on the rowing machine is needed for me ( ever the optimist) if only i could lift it with my belly :(

I am way overweight and unfit due to disability but can still lift one when I absolutely have to. It's about learning strategies and easier ways to do things.

Practice changing a wheel at home in ideal circumstances and you find you can use things like levelling ramps to roll the wheel up to get first bolt in place

Lower the jack?
Not as easy to get it precisely right and never adjust the jack with the wheel off if you can avoid it. Years ago worked doing breakdown recovery and saw more than one car had slipped off the jack as changing wheels. The owner then couldn't get the damaged car back up to refit the wheel and did a lot of damage to bodywork hitting the ground. That was cars. And hete we are talking about 3 tonne plus motorhomes

I have cut a extended bolt cut of bolt end and cut a slot for a screwdriver in the end cut of, I remove one bolt screw the alinger with a screwdriver undo the rest of the bolts and slide the wheel off then lift the spare up and slide onto my extended stud put thr rest of the bolts in and remove extended stud easy.
You can buy them on ebay but I would lose my FLT badge.

An absolute game changer. I bought one recently for my 4x4, I think the wheels on that are far more than 25kilos each.

I could never lift a heavy weight above my head like a weightlifter does (spinal problem) but I used to impress the apprentices at work by challenging them to stand a full oil drum on its end if it was lying on the ground, it was all down to technique !
