We are at present near Almería and having trouble with our lithium batteries.

Twice in the last three days the batteries have gone down almost to zero , both overnight.

Any suggestions of what I should check.

Or does any one know of any retail business or mobile engineers in this area.

thanks in advance.

Whereabouts are you and which direction are you heading?

We’re in the hills above Almeria and heading to Nerja.

I could take a look to see if I could help.

Turn everything off overnight except essential use and see if it carries on discharging

Many many thanks for the suggestions. I did look at the solar panel yesterday and that was quite dirty, I will have a go at cleaning it , but I don’t think that is the problem as it over night we have the trouble. Last night we did not have the tv or heating on.

Eddie, I will try your suggestion.

Ian, thanks for your very kind offer, we could be in the Nerja area on Wednesday . I will to try to keep in touch with you.

A few questions. What make of Lithium battery do you have and how big is it? How much solar? Do you have a B2B?

Some makes of Lithium batteries have a sleep mode which turns them off when there is no power being drawn. In my opinion a ridiculous feature for a leisure battery but there have been one or two posts about this. Might be worth a call to your battery supplier to check whether this might be your problem.

Did you have a state of charge reading (from the BMS) before you retired (to bed😎)?

We need to understand the state of charge to understand if this is a depletion issue or a charging issue.

Thanks all of you who made suggestions and offered to help manually. I am very pleased with your offers. After speaking with Ecotree I may have it sorted.

Perhaps we will get the answer on the second thread he launched on this problem.

The answer for what it is worth seems to have been given at #12 on his other thread. “Batteries get lazy” seems to be their explanation which is obviously bovine faeces for we have no idea.

Like teenagers…. Only get up in the afternoon when the suns up….😆🤣😂😎
