Help with Garmin please…

Our Garmin 770 will not turn on. It hadn‘t bern used for 18 months,switched it on this morning whilst on mains leccie and it worked. Switched it off using the Garmin button at rear and now it won’t turn on again despite being on charge for a few hours.

Thoughts and advice please.

Is there a reset hole to poke the pin in or straighten paper clip

Our Garmin 510 doe this but then randomly will start. I think just clicking rather than pushing and holding the on button worked best.

Progress….hopefully.
Thanks PP Bear . Pressed the reset button ( had forgotten about that),plugged into mains and turned on. After about 15 seconds it sprang into life….magic!!
I think it’s me that needs a reset button

We will now fiddle with it and see if we can remember how to use it.
Once we know it’s working properly we will be selling it…so look out for ad in classified.
How much is it worth? No….it’s got to be more than £1 a week!

Purely for info. Same happened to us with the Garmin 770 and reset button didnt work but (a year later) pressed and held the reset for 15-30 seconds and hey ho.
But we bought a TomTom in the meanwhile and same thing occurred but we sorted that with the on off button for 15-30 seconds.
No we can have sat nav arguements when bored on the road
