Newbie!
hi guys, this little piece fell out of the bathroom tap and i can't seem to get it to stay in place again. Is the tap broken or is there a way to fix this?

The thread looks a bit damaged, best to run a nail file on its edge around the thread to clean it up before you try to refit it.

Looks like it has previously been fitted cross-threaded. Take your time and be gentle with it and it may work again.

It's not threaded but looks like it should snap in with a circlip or something similar. There is a pin in the tap housing but the piece doesn't rotate when located and i don't want to force it.

It will still work but is missing the filter and won't be a streamlined flow without the piece in place.

It is not threaded, the cut out at the back in the picture should face the stem of the tap and then whilst supporting the spout and ensuring the cut out is located in the spout push the diffuser back in place and the "O" ring retains it

Thanks, I was hoping it was something like that but didn't want to force it an break it.
I will give that a go. Cheers
