Hey Gang.
We’re en route with a bit of a prob.
Sargent EC700 system. We replaced the knackered Lead battery with a 100Ah lithium about a year ago. Not had any bother with it over multiple trips.
The van has sat on the drive, plugged into mains for last two months.

After we packed up to set off today, I took the hookup off and just as we were setting off, the tracker company called to say the alarm had been set off by leisure battery being disconnected. The bms app is showing 100% charge & 13.6v. I went and looked at the control panel and it said 13.7v. Ah well, some glitch?

We’ve now stopped for some supplies - and got another alert!

It seems to be when engine/hookup off, the Sargent system is showing 0.7v (zero), whilst BMS app steady at 13.6v. Start the engine and control panel back to saying 13.7!?
Problem is that with engine off and no hookup (where we're going) - we’ve got no power - lights, heating air blower, etc.

I now realise that the spiritual cause is that our purchase Warranty ran out yesterday, but anyone had this experience and solved it?
Thnx,
Heeb

Sargent are very good usually on the help side.

But...is there a fuse between battery and control panel that's blown

Edit...another thought, as it's been plugged in for 2 months has the bms locked it out due to overcharge.
that said, it should kick back in when a load takes some power.

.Lithium doesn't like to be sat on permanent charge.

Have you also tried completely powering down the 12v system and back on after a few minutes

The control panel has power (which is a bit weird! Does it have a backup battery?) and shows power reading when on engine/hookup, so don’t think a fuse can be gone?
I did switch off and on, but didn’t leave it off for a few mins. Will try that too.
In terms of putting on a load - I’m unable to even switch on a light!

Mmm our tracker is wired to the starter battery, do you have a switch to choose between the two on the Sargent system?

The control panel does have a battery fitted (for the clock) and if you have confirmed that the leisure battery supply fuse is ok (it should be close to the leisure battery positive terminal) you could try a reboot by turning the black shut down button on the EC700 PSU off and then on again.

Well, we’ve got where we were going - and it’s all working! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don’t you hate intermittent faults!

Think I need to get the Sargent firmware updated.

Thanks for all the comments - appreciated!
