Have just tried to jump the Motorhome off with jump leads on the wrong way round,, now nothing is a aFiT Ducato
Many thanks

ah! cross posted!

There should be some large fuses around the battery terminals, start testing those first.

I would just try again but with the leads the right way round. There are connection points under the bonnet . One almost facing you as you lift up the bonnet is a negative earth and one to the right near the fuse box is a positive( red))
You may have blown a couple of big fuses connecting the wrong way.but you may be just lucky.
If it doesn't crank over with the correct connection . Best to check the engine fuses.

Very lucky

You may want to check all electrics before you set off

Massive thank you and merry Christmas, tried it with power pack from a very friendly garage and away we go again to Whitby,, 👍🥳🥳
That's good news. Keep that battery charged up or buy yourself one for Xmas. :xThumb:

Do you know what caused the flat battery in the first instance?
Mike.

I think may need replacing, first time ever and was only stood for about 3 weeks, also my jumper leads are crap, but would recommend Johnsons garage in the North East , it’s rare you get a favour nowadays

Good it's going. Apologies if you already know but you want the thickest jumper leads you can find to get a lot of current to the battery when jump starting. Those lithium jump packs are great too.

Do these packs have long enough leads to reach between the 2 points under the bonnet , or can anybody recommend one
Cheers 🍻

I do have good jump leads but they are heavy and take up a lot of space. I'm considering getting a NOCO boost pack with the 12v charging kit.

Means I don't need to find a second vehicle and can charge the NOCO from the leisure / solar if needed.

You can also find reliable one's with additional features such as an on board LED light, and a USB port, that allows it to be used as a power pack for small items, phones, ect. I charge ours through the small inverter as required once it's finished topping up the the main battery's.

Some jumper leads in Aldi 3metres £7.99. 400amp rated.

Did this on an old big Honda people carrier. Blew large fuses that took a while to find.

We use the NICO packs all the time and have never had a problem with the leads being to short red to the positive jump point and black to any earth point I normally go for suspension mounting bolt or any engine bolt
