Knaus Sun Ti 700 meg
Hi, I'd like to connect with someone who owns Knaus Sun Ti 700 model motorhome please.
We're newbies and have so far failed to get the new gas bottle to deliver gas to the appliances. It's likely a user error on our part but we can't figure out what.
Hopefully, someone can help please.

Start with the basics, do you have a Calor cylinder? Is the valve open ? They turn the opposite way to what you might expect, look on top of valve to check

Sorry if that’s too basic , but got to start somewhere 👍

Somewhere tucked away there will be a gas manifold.
Usually a brass bar with red 0lastic knobs, one to each appliance
Could be under the sink or bottom of a wardrobe, under a low level drawer etc but won't be obvious without hunting
All the taps may be turned off.

It'll look like this.............

Hi, David, thank you for your response. Yes, we have a full gas cylinder and the valve is open. We pushed a green hose ruption protection button in the gas tail hose. That let gas escape briefly as a test.
According to the owners manual, we have also checked that the gas taps to each appliance is switched on.

It might take a few minutes for the gas to get through to the appliance

We always start with our hob as it is the closest appliance to the bottles

Try holding the knob and listen for a hiss, then smell for gas

This is our manifold

Yes, tried that. No smell of gas. Made me wonder if there's air in the pipe?

After you have opened the valve at the bottle there could be a reset v/v just after it, it may need pressing in !

Can you post a picture of your gas regulator please?

Is there a Truma type crash valve on your motorhome?
It might need resetting, could have cut off when you changed the gas cylinder.
You said you had gas in the cylinder and have established that the gas flows, your green test button.
Thus logically the flow is interrupted from the gas cylinder to the actual appliance, let’s say the hob.
You have confirmed manifold valves are open, the only thing I can think of between the two is the Truma type valve, probably a bad description but somebody will be along soon with a more precise description.
I had a problem on our, then, new motorhome. In the end the dealer replaced the valve.
Mine is against the back wall of the gas locker, the feed from your gas cylinder passes through it en route to the manifold and appliance.
PaulyP referred to the same valve. Only just read it, I was obviously typing.

On your regulator there is probably a little green button about the size of your little finger nail, press and hold it in for 10 seconds then try again.

There should be a sleeved button on the regulator that you push in fully and release very slowly after you have pressed the green button on the pigtail I usually use my locker key to push it in as it is just the right size.😊

Also it can take a much longer time than you expect for the gas to come through.

We purge our gas system by lighting every burner on the hob if we have not used the van for a month or so.

It can take several minutes for the gas to come through to the hob.

Did you hold the green button down for a while? Also , as others said, there may be another button on the regulator which you may need to press and hold down for 10 seconds.

You have used your 5 free posts and need to pay your dues if you have more questions, for a newbie it’ll be the best £20 you’ll spend on your van. Very resourceful and helpful members on here
