I’ve bought a van earlier today. The seller advised me how to operate the Sigma Series S30 Security System and the van started ok. I’ve travelled 150 miles to a mile away from where I live and stopped the engine so I could investigate a problem I was having with the clutch. I fixed that but I cannot now get the engine to start. I have to enter a four digit number in a dashboard mounted keypad. The keypad’s led should (and was earlier) flashing red turning to a solid red when the correct code is entered. But not now, no led activity on the keyboard at all. Does anyone have one of these systems or could offer some advice. Thanks

Got this from the subaru website which might help.
Arm and then Disarm the system using a working Radio Key.
  • Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad: *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# (where wxyz is your new PIN code)
  • Arm the system with the Radio Key
  • You should now be able to disarm the system using the new PIN code

Thank you, I’ll keep that for future reference. On this occasion however I can’t rule out operator error 😳. I’ve got the van started and safely home. Cheers.
