Hi I changed my engine battery last weekend , started up fine afterwards today went to start it dash lights came on the click nothing no lights.
its on a Rapido 8096 DF 68 plate 2.3 battery is in cab floor
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong
Thanks Paul

Yep, sounds like something has drained it. Don't by any chance have a Pioneer head unit, they are famous for draining the battery if not properly isolated.

Also if it's been drained that flat it will need replacing.

How old was the old battery? Did it die suddenly? Perhaps there's a continuous drain on the battery that needs to be found.
Mike.

Check connections. And get a meter on the battery.

Best to check the battery with a meter as suggested but directly on the battery.if that's okay check the earth connection on the battery ( clean up the terminals as well) and then recheck the voltage through the terminals. If that's OK check your earth lead on the engine side .You could use a temporary earth by clipping a jump lead to your battery negative and somewhere on the engine and then retry starting. Allow most dash lights to go out before you turn the key fully.
