Why are you stuck it should be quite driveable if it will rev up to 2800.
You didn’t accidentally press the brake and accelerator together did you?Sitrep, I lost power off a roundabout and pulled in a parking place. Revved the engine with clutch depressed only achieved 2750 which I now know is what should happen. Revived it normally with no snags, turned it off and on again. Gingerly set off again. Seems to be fine now. I was panicking as I have a ferry to catch and dogs that need to be over the channel before their arc expires. (Again) hopefully a once in a time blip. Will update later.
No, I drove it for a good 300 yards before I pulled over, with a few gear changes. You didn’t accidentally press the brake and accelerator together did you?
That can cause a temporary loss of power.
I think you mean accelerator and brake at the same time. Using clutch and brake wouldn't be abnormal.Thats happened to me They said it was injectors, I think it could be a nuber of things such as turbo waste gate valve , fuel line blockage . Bad earth strap. Water in fuel filter.using clutch and brake at same time even slightly. Glad to know you are on your way now and good luck.
Food prices frightening in France and we got a shock how much they have gone up in Spain in the last year. Did a small shop in Lidl yesterday came to €80. Eating out is still fairly cheap.Stopped at Aldi prior to here and I was astounded how expensive it was, might just have to drive to Spain sooner than planned.
Are obd readers manufacturer specific and which is the one to go for?? We have a fiat ducato 140bhp as well ??When ours went into limp mode last year, out of gear, foot to the floor and it would gradually get to 3000 rpm, in gear trying to drive, a month of Sunday to get to 1200 rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and it would not pull at all 4th 5th and 6th.
Got to a "safe area" (no it bloody was not) and cleared the fault with the OBD reader and the Torque app and off we went.
I always carry an OBD reader with us, in most cases, it's a get-out of jail free.![]()
Some are if you want to get more into the depth of options within the ECU, but for the most part, a cheapish decent OBD2 reader will cover most fault codes. Are obd readers manufacturer specific and which is the one to go for?? We have a fiat ducato 140bhp as well ??
That is actually a great question. Most OBD2 scanners will work with generic stuff. But if you want to delve deeper, you need one that is compatible with multiecuscan and the set of adaptor leads for the various systems. If you only want to reset the check engine light, any will workAre obd readers manufacturer specific and which is the one to go for?? We have a fiat ducato 140bhp as well ??
