Last Thursday decided to visit Lost Gardens on Friday so gave Heligan Camping a call. Was ‘number 1 in queue’ but hung up after 5 minutes as rang at 3 minutes past five and thought maybe they closed at five. Did press option to have one of sales team call back and automated system confirmed phone number. Friday morning about 9.45 phoned again, number 2 in queue but didn’t progress so again gave up. Still waiting for them to call back. Went to gardens anyway and stayed at Meadows Campsite on Mevagissy road. , they seemed pleased to see us. If Heligan only accept on line booking perhaps that message could be on phone system. Or is it just me touring and deciding what to do day by day, though they would not know that. Not had problems with same day bookings or turning up for rest of holiday .
