Looking at buying a scooter to fit in the garage of our Malibu Motorhome. The garage measures 1105mm high floor to ceiling and the door is 1080mm high.
So a question to all you Motorhome owners who carry a scooter in the garage and have the same size or smaller garage than ours, what scooter can you fit in?

I am as positive as positive can be that is the same height as the Rollerteam 690 and the Suzuki Address gets in there with the slightest of jiggles for mirrors and having taken the top box off

Cheers, It’s the Suzuki address I was looking at as well, on paper it should fit but be very tight. Didn’t want to buy one and then cannot fit in.

best buy a dax style monkey bike . they have handlbars that can be folded down. my garage doors are only 35 inches high . been getting my chinese easyrider dax in for twenty years .
its built by jincheng but called easyrider by the uk importers .
carries two and can do about 25mls to a litre of fuel.
great bit of kit.

I carry a Honda CB300R in my garage. I went to the local Honda dealers and they offered to put one of theirs in the garage to see if it would fit. Unfortunately they didn't have exactly the bike I wanted so I bought elsewhere.

Lanerboy, if you get a minute would you mind measuring the exact height of your garage? Floor to ceiling.
I know the Honda is a better scooter but I think it is taller than the Suzuki.

I wouldn’t feel safe riding anything bigger than a 125cc without putting my leathers on. And want a bike we can just jump on with our jeans and t shirt.

When bike is pushed up ramp the front wheel will drop into the garage first, before handlebars reach the garage door. The rear wheel will be lower than the front wheel. This lowers the handlebars slightly.

So measuring height of bike on level ground, it will go through a smaller door if bike is on a slope.
If there is a lip on garage door to garage floor bike will drop down.

Result is a bike taller the garage door will go through it.
The amount depends on slipe of ramp and size of step between door and garage floor.

The garage door height on my Carthago Chic is 1090mm. I carry a Honda 125 PCX but need to remove the wingmirrors and top-box. The PCX has smaller wheels than the Honda SH which makes it lower overall. I think the max height of the SH is about 1200mm without wingmirrors and top-box.

Prior to purchasing the PCX I got the dealership to check it would go in ok. The ramping effect tends to reduce the overall height of the scooter anyway, assuming you load it in the forwards direction. The garage floor on mine is about 40mm lower than the bottom of the door so this effectively gives you an extra 40mm to play with. However, I have raised my floor locally by 40mm to make it easier to extract the scooter.

Edit : SandraL beat me to it re the ramping effect !!!

Thanks for the offer, it’s very kind of you but I think the sh125 will not fit.
The pcx125 sounds like it will fit though, I will do some investigation on this model thanks wagoneer
