hi all, currently in Spain using a Tiekom sim in a Huawei B535-232 watching Amazon Prime Movies on iPad Pro. Noticed some 9 + GB used for a 2 hour film. Went on Google to try to reduce data the instructions seem to be for if you are using a sim in the ipad. Went to Prime Movies Home Screen click on the three lines in the top left hand corner but there is not setting for reducing data use? Suggestions please.

Have you tried adjusting the Amazon Prime App ‘Streaming Quality’ settings to suit your needs?

Tried looking on my AmazonPrime app but cant see where to adjust it.

Can you not download the film in the lower format then watch it "offline" ?

Downloading gives you options of what quality you want to download at

In Prime App (I’m not checking/streaming in browser), on ‘Home’ screen select avatar icon top right
Then select the gear cog ⚙️ for ‘Settings’.
Followed by ‘Streaming & Downloading’ option.
Select ‘Streaming Quality’ at top of list.
Brings you to the options shown in earlier post.

Hope it helps…

Downloading video (or music) takes less data than streaming. That's because when streaming, data is used to control the process. When you download it's often compressed further and then all it's looking for is the end of file marker to say when it is complete.
