My heating system goes into lock out, got it replaced with new one and also new one not working.
Any ideas if it could be something else that is wrong ?

Take it back to whoever installed it
It would be a 500 mile trip to go back to dealer. It is under warranty and Whale have supplied a new one. It also won’t work!! Asking if it could be anything ie electrical.

Let's hope that they tested it after fitting, never assume anything, so it could be something simple - running on gas? running on 240v? both or either turned on? 12v turned as the heater will need that to function.

Have a word with the dealer. They may be happy that you use someone local and bill it.

It worked on gas but not 240v then lock on came on again

Have you checked the 12v power supply fuses on the Sargent PSU also the fuses on the EM50 or EM40 module that is behind the drivers seat ? (If an Autotrail Motorhome)
Yes all checked . Reset does not work either.

I would have expected the dealer to check for an electrical problem before they fitted a new heater, if not I'd not be confident getting them to due any other work.
What are the terms of the warranty? Is it a new van with warranty at dealer, or an Insurance type warranty that would allow you to use any qualified or registerd motorhome repairer?

If the controls are the same as propex, analog thermostat, then the reset procedure is the same.
Google propex reset procedure and you will see what I mean. Is a timed sequence with the rotary switch from on to of back to on within 2seconds. It will work if you have gas.
