Has anyone been pulled in Europe for not having headlamp deflectors?. I try not to drive at night now, Plus with these modern headlamps I'm never sure there in the right place

Most modern vehicles have centre dip headlights, so deflectors not needed

About 40 years ago on a motorbike tour we were stopped and one of the things they checked was headlamp deflectors, to be honest I've not heard of anyone else being stopped for it - however, a friend who was involved in an accident was told afterwards that it might have counted against him if he hadn't had them.

It is worth checking your vehicle, our MH and classic cars do, our modern car doesn't due to the standard alignment.

I've probably driven a good few thousand, working in Germany and France I sometimes took my car or motorbike out there. Only time I've been flashed was driving a car that (according to the handbook and dealer) had "flat" lights so didn't need deflectors.
