We have a 2022 Ducato with an integrated Head Unit.
It's Ok...but the screen is very small, Much of the unit is just border.

Has any upgraded to a " Bigger Screen"?...which one?..self install?

Cheers
Clemmo

We upgraded our 2019 Ducato this year.... fitted a Kenwood 7" screen head unit (link below), with some new speakers, and an Eton subwoofer. Makes a massive difference over the old useless Tom Tom enabled Fiat head unit, especially with Wireless CarPlay.

Too much for me to tackle - the install also included lots of sound deadening material in the doors and under the dash which helps the sound quality massively. The subwoofer fits neatly under the cupholders in the centre console of the Ducato (photo below)

It's not the cheapest solution - I won't post here how much or there will be the usual Yorkshire war cry of ..."how much ?... I could have knocked that up for £25...." ;) . But if you're after something similar, pm me and I'll share more

Just make sure that, whatever unit you go with, it is compatible with your base van. The one I have fitted is not and I now have the odometer flashing all the time. I'm hoping the dealer is going to sort it out, if not I'll get the money back and buy a different one.

Yep - good point, but not sure if its a head unit issue exactly. The way it was described to me is, there is a harness that is fitted to some vans in the Sevel factory (but not all), which allows a replacement head unit to be recognized by the van and prevents the flashing time display.

Fortunately mine had the harness fitted so no flashing and I can set the correct time using the new head unit

Well that's interesting, but my problem is the odometer flashing not the time.

If your odometer is flashing that is a sign that some component is not 'talking' to the vehicle ecu.
Think a proxialignment should fix it.

Same thing required if you fit a different radio unit afaiaa

Well that is what I imagined in the beginning, but the Citroën dealer assures me that is not the case.

The one I have fitted is not and I now have the odometer flashing all the time.

I encountered the same thing while trying to swap my head unit for one with a camera input.

I found the following explanation:

"If something is not working as expected and it's important for compliance with regulations, such as a tail lamp; the system will illuminate a warning lamp and probably a suitable message will appear but if the device that is malfunctioning or just not reporting it's condition or readiness to operate is considered non-essential (such as a radio or the air conditioning) the body computer has to have a way of communicating this.

It flashes the odometer reading!"

I couldn't get the camera to work so just swapped my original unit back in and the problem went away so I don't know if it's something they can fix with the diagnostic tool or not. Would be interesting to know how you get on.

That is exactly what the Citroën dealer told me and they were unable to make it talk to the vehicle ECU using the specific diagnostic tool. So I'm waiting on the appointment I have at the dealer to see what they say. If it cannot be sorted, I'll get the money back and probably buy a different one at the Citroën dealer, just to make sure it will be compatible. Everything does work just fine, but the flashing odometer is beyond my forgiveness and I cannot be sure it will not cause other problems further down the line.

Not sure if this harness would help - it's fitted to mine, but I'm not expert enough to know if this would be sufficient for other vans ....but it does refer to stopping flashing odometers at the bottom of the last page (page 4)

If it would help anyone, I could speak to the installer and see if this is in addition to, or instead of, the factory fitted component.
