We have decided to spend the halloween weekend at the free aire in Hawick. (Common haugh)

There's toilets and a water tap and a pub opposite the aire.☺ Shops and restaurants are a 2 min walk.

If anyone else is free plus join us or pop by and say hello if you are nearby.

Great news, the more the merrier. We can go for dinner etc.
Mum likes fish. There is a river right behind the parking bay if you would care to catch her one ....think it might be fly fishing , google it.

wish we could join you, my old boss and friend came from Hawick but he pronounced it as hoyk, difficult to show the pronunciation as I am a Geordie! but maybe hoy as in Helen of Troy plus the ke of trike?

According to my info Hawick Aire is closed Friday nights because of the market on saturday morning?
It also says it it operates " from easter to the end of september"?

That's true but I spoke to them last time we visited and was told its ok to park at the other end of car park on Fri night. The car park is open, theres just not any greeters outwith the season.
Just double checked with Mark at the council and he said yes fine to park for weekend.
