Having the fridge on whilst driving?

This maybe a silly question but do you guys have the fridge on whilst driving, it looks like my fridge can run on Gas or electric but i have only ever had it on whilst on EHU, not sure if it runs on the battery.. thanks

If its a three way fridge it will run on 12v whilst your engine is running otherwise a relay will stop the 12v supply.

Personally we have accidentally run on gas while travelling when the fridge didn't automatically change over.

If set to Auto it should run off 12v with the engine running and automatically change to gas or mains 15 min after the engine is turned off.

They are made to work while being driven on battery.

Thanks guys, i think my question came about because i tried to run it off the battery and it wouldn't have it, but the engine was not running, i will give it a test tonight, thanks

To run the fridge on 12v you need to run the engine, when you stop to pitch up it will switch off from 12v and needs ehu or gas to run it. Best not to idle the engine just to run a fridge BTW.
