The last time was when my car was stationary at the back of a queue at a red traffic light and a white van failed to brake. Cops said the van driver was disqualified but took no further action. I got some compo for whiplash injury, in the days before claims farmers got onto the bandwagon.

It all boils down to common sense and how people interpret the rules or replies above, are some members serious in their replies or just taking the piss.

Me yes I have driven a car which crashed into a bike where the rider rolled off it and hit a trailer that came loose and rolled down the road that hit a Motorhome causing a caravan to roll down hill.

The caravan then rolled into a lake that hit a boat causing a wave to hit a dock that collapsed into the water.

Overhead was a plane that crashed into the lake after the pilot was laughing so much.

Moral of the storey is......

Don’t trust anyone’s comments as truth apart from the above.

Last year in France ( yes, we managed 6 weeks away!) on the 1st day of our trip we were travelling through a small village, around a gentle left hand bend, after having taken a 90 degree right turn, so travelling very slowly A very minor road joined at right angles to the road we were on and a small Peugeot just carried on directly into the side of the MH hitting us broadside about 3.5m along the 8m long vehicle.
The very apologetic lady driver said she just hadn't seen us! Understandable really as there was a white wall of about 20sq metres across her line of vision i.e. my bloody motorhome.

Luckily it was driveable and we patched up the side with duct tape and bin bags after removing various damaged skirts and other bits.
On return we had to have a complete new side and rear skin as that was also cracked along with new skirts and rear lights. The dealers have done a fantastic job and the insurance company authorised all repairs without a quibble. All is now in order and you wouldn't know we had ever had a problem.

I am shortly due to renew my insurance - can't wait:eek::eek:

Had my Autocruise written off in Germany back in 2010..German came round a bend on my side of the road approaching me head on.I swerved off the road as far as I could,,probably a foot of grass beside my van and the road when he hit my front wing, passenger door, ripped the side off my van out until he hit my rear wheel and bounced off...Was really pissed off.BUT we were not hurt.BUSBY.

I don't understand the question - what does 'or frames to move a vehicle' mean?

Closed and did its job.

Thanks all.
It's not closed ... I've just voted!

I hasten to add that the 'accidents' were all caused by others, eg one car one was due to an idiot reversing out of a parking bay into the side of us as we were parked with the engine off ... she hadn't seen us there despite walking past us 30 seconds earlier!
