Have you checked on your van in storage

Been over to check ours thankfully our storage place has the electronic gate system with keycards so no need the see anyone, enough room to drive it and park it just to rotate the tyres.

Can I just add my concern. Folk have been saying they have just moved the van to "effectively just rotate the tyres". IMV, you will do more damage to the engine, and possibly transmission doing that. Unless you get the Engine fully hot and the likes of the DPF and or EGR properly cleared you are building trouble for later, the oil does not reach working temperature and will/can produce water vapour in the parts. (especially mineral based oils) I would be LESS concerned about £400 or £600 worth of tyres. Than £3000plus worth of potential work on the Engine and or Transmission.

My opinion, I agree, but based on 50 years of experience across a variety of Marine and Traction Motive systems.

NO don’t tell me this now. I went and turned my van around to face the other way yesterday as one side is shaded and the other in full sun. I had a vague thought that I had read somewhere that the sun could damage the tyres so thought I was doing good.
