Have shell stopped selling gas?

This could become a big problem for anyone with integrated gas tanks. Even if I wanted to I’d have no means or space to carry a stand-alone bottle in my pvc
I agree I bought an AutoSleeper late last year, integral gas tank and nowhere to store gas bottles, just when I though5 I was se5 up for this year?

Are we all unduly panicking because Shell seem to have stopped doing Autogas... this subject comes up every time someone reports they have found a dealer that has stopped selling Autogas. I too have PCV with under slung tank and it would mean major rebuild work to fit 2 x 13kg calor bottles.
I live in quiet area of Scotland where i have 4 suppliers within 10 mile radius including Morrisons and Calor however should they all close it may be inconvenient but i will just have to plan a route that goes via a distant Autogas dealer. As someone else pointed out the more that shut the more custom for those that stay open
After all is that not what this MOHO milarchy is all about.....ADVERTURE...

A place where I worked had a couple of gas fork trucks and a bulk gas tank out back. Probably to keep the installation costs down, the trucks were filled by a manually operated pump. It had a handle about 4 feet long that you worked back and forward and it surprisingly took quite an effort to fill a bottle. If you had a bulk tank installed at home, you would need some sort of pump to get the liquid gas into your van. An electric pump would be easier, but it would need to be a fire proof installation, and that would add seriously to the cost.
I refill those little Coleman gas canisters for my son's Jetboil which he uses for his ration packs when working out in the forests. They cost about £5 for 150ml but you can buy 2 litres of the same propane/butane mix for under a tenner. I made up a high pressure hose and fittings and let gravity do the work with the Coleman sitting on a weighing scale so I don't overfill.

They have in uttoxeter ?

Hi we use morrisons supermarket petrol stations to fill both our 11kg gaslow bottles. No problem simple fill and go.

I saw our nearest shell station that used to do it, didn't have a price today. Fortunately I have discovered a fuel distributer between Chelmsford and Braintree that does and is really handy for me. AD Fuel Oils near the Chelmsford racecourse for anyone in Essex (only open during the day though).

You could look at the Gasit system which was quite a bit Cheaper than Gaslow the last time I looked. They also fit underslung tanks which you can sync with your bottles. I can't see LPG disappearing anytime soon especially on the continent .
