We had our new MH treated with Diamondbrite prior to collection 3 weeks ago.

I wasn't convinced that it had actually been applied to the whole vehicle as it was really hard to clean just a small amount of road dirt off and black streaks wouldn't shift.

After a few emails today, Diamondbrite have offered to re-do the whole vehicle on-site at Arnchem, one of their approved applicators.

Whilst I feel better with a professional doing it as opposed to the valeters at the dealers, I'm a little apprehensive, but don't know why. (We had no clue that the dealers applied it themselves 🤬).

My gut tells me to get it re-done as there is obviously no cost, but I would want to be on site during the application.

What would you do?

Is it free of charge?

Then yes, absolutely.
Yes it is.

We're booked in for next Friday for a completely new application and the seats & carpets too.

The lovely girl I spoke to says it should have a glass-like finish. Ours is certainly not like that. Hopefully, this will sort it properly🤞🏻

In my experience, dealers upsell this and similar products and make a good profit from it as the valet is a part of the PDI preparation for handover. The problem is that the valeters onsite will have a limited time to do the job and it ends up often being done ineffectively so the product cannot work.
I would let them get on with it as offered and certainly no point in watching/supervising as they aren’t going to pay an approved centre to do a bad job as they are clearly looking for you to be satisfied with the product.

Yeah, we're going to have a walk into Ashby whilst they get on with it. They're putting right somebody else's shoddy workmanship, so I'm sure they'll be keen to get it right.

They seem to be a reputable outfit from their website and reviews.

They've even offered to drop us off and pick us up when it's ready, so it all seems OK.

Ashby is a nice town to have a mooch around and only a short walk from their premises which appears to be across the road from the Bath grounds

Update: We've had the MH re-done today and the finish is fantastic. They removed the original product and applied the ceramic version. They also treated the seats and carpets as that should've been done by the dealers too.

They confirmed that the bulkhead, side skirting and roof had not been done by the dealer.

I can highly recommend them, their service is excellent.

What I would never recommend, is having any form of paint protection applied by a dealer. We felt ripped off and paid for half a job and even that was badly done.
