I’d like to have the back doors open in the evening and prevent mosquitoes entering the van. What specifically is the purpose of the covering, I have fitted a cover to keep the rain out but not a true fly screen
We had one made for our Renault master it’s magnetic works very well gave the measurements didn’t ask for a price wish I had as it cost £325 in the endI’d like to have the back doors open in the evening and prevent mosquitoes entering the van.
Just googled fly screen fiat ducato and 3 came up for the rear door apertureI did a search and found Blossoms question but no relevant answers. Has anyone found a solution? I imagine that there are more funsters that would welcome your collective input.
That looks to be an elegant solution. Do you recall who made it for you?
Thanks, yes I did the same but wondered if anyone had successfully used one. I haven’t seen the Dethleffs offering I’ll investigate.Just googled fly screen fiat ducato and 3 came up for the rear door apertureincluding one from Dethleffs @ £212!
If only I could. I can only admire your skills. I’m afraid I’ll have to look for a pre fabricated arrangement.I just put up a standard stretch netting wire and bought some lightweight black mossie netting which I can slide along the wire to access the “boot” area and to close the blinds. I sewed some magnets into the hem to hold the net to the van floor and put some velcro on the sides which sticks itself to the carpet liner.
Cost less than £10
Yes these rails work well too. I have one across the sliding door as there is a top kitchen cupboard which intrudes into the sliding door aperture giving a solid base ne end and the over cab cupboard the other. Not a shower curtain pole which are quite chunky, but the smaller diameter one. Again, just a simple hanging net which slides along and “stores” by the passenger seat pillar. A couple of magnets hold in place if windy - the joys of a metal MH! I didn’t think the expanding pole would stay up considering the hard ride and our potholes but it does!We use an expanding shower curtain pole and net with eyelets. Less than £20 and works a treat
Have you got/can you take a photo ?Yes these rails work well too. Will do - when it stops raining !Have you got/can you take a photo ?
My Wildax has/had a fitted flyscreen [which I hardly ever used] but the thread broke and the whole thing unravelled... it's not worth the cost of having it replaced like for like.
