The flimsy chrome plated plastic sink plug fitted to many Adria and Hymer sinks, worth 50p costs almost £30, really and is very breakable. So if anyone has managed to make a 3D copy, I would love to know. I will not tell anyone.

I think I put one on the original thread about it, I can do another one later.I could make a conventional sink plug for it. Has anyone got a picture of the drain with the basket removed
I remember now. It’s not just the basket, it the whole drainI think I put one on the original thread about it, I can do another one later.
The whole thing needs replacing all the chrome flakes off.
I'll take mine out later and take a few shotsI remember now. It’s not just the basket, it the whole drain
Just ordered one to try.In a moment of extravagance, I actually bought the original basket part to replace a broken one on our Carthago! But as an interim measure, I had found that using a washing up bowl in the sink worked fine, combined with a sink strainer like this to catch the crud!

What a ridiculously stupid design. Having the trap below the sink in plastic makes complete sense, but the upper section is never going to last in plastic. I would definitely aim to replace the whole thing with the upper components in stainless steel. A 3D printed replacement with a gunge mesh/grille isn’t a realistic option. The way 3D printers print would never give a strong enough part, and it wouldn’t have a nice chrome or stainless finish. Looks like the trap available at swordcrowncaravans is the best bet.PaulandChrissy Some photos, put a few dimensions on to give you an idea.

Yep, it's total garbage, while I had it out removed the flaky chrome from the top lip and then smoothed it with fine wet & dry, it looks much better in white. What a ridiculously stupid design. Could you not connect the drainer pipe using a “Y” connector so you don’t need the 2nd pipe connector.Yep, it's total garbage, while I had it out removed the flaky chrome from the top lip and then smoothed it with fine wet & dry, it looks much better in white.
The one from Sordcrown is OK if you don't need the second entry from the drainer like mine has.
Good point, brain not in gear today, doesn't appear to have a trap but easy to fit a separate one.Could you not connect the drainer pipe using a “Y” connector so you don’t need the 2nd pipe connector.
It's made by Smev which is part of Dometic, need I say more?So the bottom line seems to be, the whole unit is unserviceable and should be replaced by a standard sink drainer.
Seeing comments from Carthago, Hymer, Adria and perhaps others, what is going on? Why are inferior components being fitted to so many marques while being unavailable on the cloned market?
Mine arrived today, fits a treat & looks so much better. Thank you.In a moment of extravagance, I actually bought the original basket part to replace a broken one on our Carthago!
