Sad day but my motorbike gear has been in storage for years and today decided to get rid...
I have a set of Dynamic leather jacket and seperate trousers. Think I had them back in the late 70's - early 80's.

Any suggestions on best place to sell or dont these things hold any value. ?

They're not worth a great deal - sorry

Modern kit offers much more protection with built in armour

I would suggest ebay with words such as 'vintage' 'classic' or 'retro' in the title

Nasher How about a textile jacket ?? Gotta be more popular. any idea on a second hand price ? it has the internal zip out lining.

Antiques Roadshow...……......…........you did ask

Mine, and the quality was Range Topping when purchased, late 70`s Early 80`s. Finished up in the Charity Shop. They where on e-bay for several weeks with no "takers".

Hi Tonka,

If it has armour, then 20 quid on Gumtree & if offered take 15

If it doesn't have amour, then keep it as a rain jacket or charity shop

Sorry!

Or maybe put all three on ebay as a 'vintage dynamic motorcycle clothing set'

Cheers on the input. I will try for a sale on local Facebook groups and see how I go. Otherwise put em back in cupboard until they reach "antique" status
I better not show you my boots !!!

If they had been made by Lewis Leathers you'd have got a good price for them, obviously only as a fashion item, certainly not for use compared with todays riding gear.

DuxDeluxe may be interested ... he's not a motorcyclist but he is into leather goods in a big way! :whistle2:
These are motorcycle leathers. Don’t confuse them with the heavily strapped and buckled items that you were trying to sell me from your own wardrobe, Brian :Eeek: I mean, I am surprised you actually wanted to sell this one; thought you were still using it in your tribute act:whistle2:

Might be better if you did a photo wearing them, or would they be a bit tight now?
Still have my jacket but wouldn't dare do the zip up now. o_O
Well I just tried them on and got a big woooo.. off the wife. 😁 Thing I may keep em if just till the end of lockdown  :whistle2:

If the boots are Lewis Leathers Gold Tops, they are worth a lot more than the leathers. I turned down £100 for my Gold Tops only last year and they were far from perfect.
Some leathers make good money such as Hideout. A custom set will set you back a grand or more.

I actually used to wear some of those.
We all did back in the day, "proper" M/C boots where expensive, we got ours from "Army & Navy" for a fraction of the price. Some even wore them as work boots!. In the days before proper safety boots.

Get them made into a man bag then they will still be in the family and wife will love it knowing that you will not be risking your life again.

You can always give the handbag a sniff now and then to bring back old memories. Plant a flower in the boots to make them smell better😂

Not all old gear is worthless. I had an old US army parka from my first powered transport back in the 60's. I was going to throw it away but turned out to be a collectors item and I got several times what I paid for it.
Now my leathers which were a lot more recent were worth nothing after they cut them off me in a&e.

I put mine on Schpock with no luck.

But then put a notice in local bikers cafe (free of charge) and sold them within a week. Might be worth you trying. (or biker shop even).

We’ve still our daughters Baby Biker leathers from when she was nine twenty odd years ago. XXL size 😂😂

Not for sale 🙂

There are some on Ebay at present - have a look at the 'sold' ones to get an idea of price.

As others have said, not a big market for them I afraid mate..
For what you will gain it might be worth donating them to a worthy cause such as a training school ( who are NEVER well funded and always grateful for gear donations ) or even a museum ?
