We just bought 2 Carerra cross city battery bikes from halfords, (2 weeks ago) they seem good quality, comfy ride, had to upgrade the saddle but very impressed so far.
Watch out for the battery pin cover, (this slides over the two pins when the bike is folded to protect them and fits inside the cross member locking bolt but they seem to be missing on some batches, we are waiting for Halfords to get ours from the supplier.

Take them up on the offer and then buy somewhere else. We recently bought 2 Cube electric bikes from Rutland Cycling at Peterborough. The difference between the service we received from Rutland and Halfords was night and day. Nothing was too much trouble, whereas our local Halfords could barely engage let alone answer any questions.

If you are near to the Peterborough store next to Ferry Meadows give Kurt a visit. Let’s face it ebikes are a considered purchase so dealing with a professional who understands all expects makes the experience a whole lot more pleasurable.

We are really enjoying our new Cubes and can highly recommend them. Purchasing through Rutland Cycling also means you get a rewards account. We received over £500 back in Rewards which means all our accessories including a Topeak bag, a very expensive Kryptonite New York lock and other bike bling were taken care of.
