Hairdryer off inverter

I have a 100ah lifepo4 battery and am thinking of buying a 2000W inverter. Will this run a 2kw hairdryer fo 10mins without damaging anything?

Way too much for a 100ah battery, 2000watts will pull close to 200amps, you could most likely get a 1200 watt hair dryer but even that is too much for 100ah.

You need a smaller hairdryer, MrsT has a 900w one that does the job but only 100a battery will kill it or inverter will cut out.

If you love your wife, you will invest in a bigger lithium (at least 300Ah) and a 3000w inverter ..

If you truly love your wife, you will invest in a much bigger and better equipped motorhome ...

BUT ... If she truly loves you she will say being able to her hair doesn't matter, so long as she is with you wherever you go ....

True love requires a 460Ah lithium (bought using the Fogstar discount) or 2 x 280Ah from Eco-Worthy who keep doing eBay deals with vouchers. And the muscular inverter. And maybe a new battery charger. And possibly a new b2b charger.

A 100AH LifePo4 battery will normally have a 100 amp BMS ie it can supply a max current of 100 amps.
A 2,000 kW hair dryer will want nearly twice that amperage, so it won't work with your current battery.
Also it is not good practice to run an inverter flat out, so to run a 2,000 watt hair dryer really you want a 2,500 watt to 3,000 watt inverter.

Whatever battery capacity, inverter rating, and thermonuclear hairdryer being employed, make sure the inverter is a good quality pure sine wave type. I'm folically challenged so no need for such things, but my understanding is these hot air devices can be very fussy.

We maintain a number of properties.
The two things that cause the most electrical blow outs are hair strainers and hair dryers.

I'd simply buy 100m of electrical cable on a reel and plug it directly into the nearest mains (shower block) and then run the cable to your motorhome.

Cant see that option working on a Fun rally in the middle of Stratford racecourse..

We only have an 1100watt inverter. The wife uses a standard hairdryer (2000w) BUT has it on the low setting which reduces the heat and also the power demand. For years this worked ok on 2 x Varta lead acid 90amp batteries.. Not ideal but worked..
Now have 2 x 100amp Lithiums and same inverter BUT the wife can now use the dryer on heat setting no 2... She's well pleased
