Habitation door not locking from key fob ?

We are in elddis encore250 in the last few days the habitation door does not lock via the key fob or the locking button on the dashboard ? It looks ok with the key but would be better if we could get to the bottom of problem ?

If you Are you anywhere in hot weather, try pushing door in slightly near handle and at same time press remote to try and lock it .
It just might be heat related?
Worth a try

If it doesn't lock with the button (which is electrical not infra red) i would suggest looking at the lock or wiring to the lock.

usually a case of the wiring between door and frame. Some vans have small brass sprung contacts rather than wires. A bit of dirt or corrosion will stop it, as will the door being out of adjustment

Does the ket fob also arm an alarm?
If it does are all the trigger switches in the closed position.
No hatches slightly out of alignment with the switch or the magnetic switch.

Key fob alarms front doors ok just hab door not locking I can’t see any contacts on door or frame I thought it was total wireless might be wrong though

Contacts are low down on the sliding door at the far side away from the opening. I'm taking it yours is a pvc? Do the back doors lock when you operate the remote

It's a coachbuilt . I'd imagine if a pvc he would have said sliding door rather than habitation door.

Ours is a encore 250 7.4 m long

Have you left the cab door open. Ours won't lock if the cab door isn't shut properly
