Elddis Encore 285
I have a 2018 Elddis Encore since purchasing it from new I have always had issues with the bar coming loose causing the bar to rattle like crazy. I have kept tightening the offend bolt but now due to the rattling the thread has now stripped so tighten is no longer possible. I have tried to tap a large thread on the nut but unable to because it is so shallow. currently I'm experimenting with some Araldite and epoxy putty. Not sure if this is going to work so might have to buy a new door bar. Does anyone know where I can get such a thing?
Images attached.

TIA

Ours is similar. The door has slotted metal pins poking out with a relief cut in them. The handle slides over the pins and then a grub screw is supposed to bite into the reliefs to hold it in place. I can tighten the screws to the point of me worrying about them stripping and it stops rattling for a few hours, then starts again.

It doesn't actually feel like it's getting lose. Just developing more play. It's a tiny amount, but it rattled annoyingly.

It is that rattling that will cause the nut to strip... my advice to take the screw out, you will need to obviously take the bar off for that then Loctite is the way to go.

Definitely use Loctite, but be sure to use the correct one, or you’ll never remove the bolts again if needed.

Would it be too unsightly to drill all the way through and fit a chrome headed bolt?
