looking at updating my van and notice the van im looking at has a truma habitation aircon.
while i love the idea the start up power required is high, so im wondering when i return to france and try to plug it in will it start tripping the fuse boxes ? a lot of places have 6 amps and i do wonder if it will start tripping boards, and of course some boards are locked and you cant reset them easily. never had hab aircon before so... i did wonder if you can fire up the air con on the battery and then plug the ehu back in after startup and the draw has gone down after the inital start up ?
i understand it has a 100w solar and 100a lithium battery so if i put another battery in there how long could i run it, i know there alot of variables but i just need an idea if its workable in practical terms.

I bevieve there are better air-cons available very recently - which do not have such high start up currents.

Based on experience, I found that the older air-con units are not a good idea.
But I have not yet bought a new one for this mototohome.

The auto change overs can work well (quickly) when the power fails. But not so good the way you are suggesting.
