I searched and couldn’t find an answer, or rather I found lots of answers that were “maybe”…so here’s my answer to my question (clearly I’m going mad).
My door is a Hartal from a 2010 Rapido 9095DF. The central locking was making the right noises, but the door only opened 1 notch and not enough to get in. I went in via the passenger door and could see that the bottom catch had opened fully but the top catch had not (you can pull it open with your finger from inside the hab area thankfully).
1. Unscrew the door pull handle (prise out the little plastic caps with a sharp pick first):

2. Prise off the mechanism cover, plastic spudger is ideal for this, there is some velcro as well.

3. Unclip the handle to mechanism bar, at this stage the plastic wobbly big thing will suddenly make a bid for freedom! (Place gently somewhere you won’t stand on it).

4. Examine the lock that has failed, in my case the spring has broken. Marvel at how a pair “only” costs £30 on flea bay

Time to see if I can get the springs any cheaper, if not then £30 it is!
Cheers
