Hab door retainer cracked

Has anyone managed to find a better sollution than bungy strapping hab door open to stop wind blowing it shut???
Mine is only 3 months old, but X demo so prob had a years opening/closing, now just noticed it's split the female retainer on van Probably get it replaced under warranty, but surely there's a better way to secure it open in windy conditions !

Does anyone have ideas for an improvement on these door stays ? I replaced it a couple of years ago but it's failing again to hold the door open. TIA
