Hi
I have a horustech door lock on my motorhome (see stock image attached). It locks from the outside, but when locking from the inside it can still be opened from the outside. So I have to lock from the outside then enter through the cab doors...
The lever position doesn't seem to make any difference either, whether red (locked) or green (open).
How can the unit be taken apart to check? Although, I wouldn't know what to look for once open.
Taking the handle off the door seems easy enough, but I'm having difficulty taking the cover off the inside handle assembly.
Have any funsters had any experience with these type of hab door locks?
Cheers!

I see there are two types of lock - zadi and hse.
I have attached a picture of the internals of the hse (cant find a internal of the zadi) - it seems like a closed unit so my only course of action may be to buy new.
Unless there are any diy solutions?

Any one know about these.??

Sorry can’t help

When you say lock from outside, is it not connected to your central locking?
Hi Andy. No, it's a seperate lock, nothing to do with the central locking.

go outside and with the door open, lock it then step in and close it

That’s odd, or is it? I would have thought it to be operated with you CL, and possibly it could be out of sync with the CL so be part of the problem.

I got extra security (an ext fiamma door lock and inner hab lock) and booked in with specialist. Will mention CL to him. Was hoping to sort myself, but its probably too complex for me to fix!
