Harmony line 690g
Hi just joined & have a question about my Hab door on my Harmony Line 690g, the door sometimes locks/unlocks then fails I have wiped the 4 contact strip on the bottom of the door it works for a while then fails Concerned for as I drive away if it's not working the Hab door is open to the elements, thanks Chris.

Unscrew the door contacts and check the wiring. Hartal now use a lot less of the stuff and in can chafe on the aluminium.

Agree with Jo662 , when our door became argumentative-having wiped the contacts as you’ve done - checking the wiring is a good bet. It can be done whilst seated. I found that the wiring was short and forced into a small cavity so not easy for clumsy fingers such as mine.

I had the same issue on a 6 month old pilote, 1 wire had come loose from behind the frame contacts, luckily there was enough slack wire to redo the connection. All good now.

The wire had come adrift from the terminal. It was a straight forward fix but needed very small Allen key and screwdriver.
Thanks for that will take out the Contact Plate when I'm a bit more mobile (Had Knee Replacement), thanks Chris.

Think the wires will be on the Door as it looks like an earthing point to me so contacts go to ground when door shut completing the circuit

One side (usually door side) is spring-loaded. The pins can get jammed up with muck so that the springs can't push them out to make a good contact any longer. You can soak the unit in solvent, dry it and re-lube it to fix.

I have wiped & pushed the spring loaded Buttons in a couple of times and the Lock starts working again so obviously an issue there somewhere 👍

Great News I have just removed the 4 Chrome Connections on my Hab Door,
luckily I had enough cable length to withdraw the panels (2 separate held in with 4 Posi drive screws) outwards to find 2 wires adrift , cut insulation back a couple of mm & reconnected them and Hey Presto like a new un.
