My hab door has developed a gap around the edge from being blown open onto the retainer. The aluminium strip which forms the edge of the door has stretched away from the panel (i.e. it's bowed away from the edge of the panel). I can pop the panel back in and push the edge back into place but it just springs away again. There's enough of a gap to see daylight which I suspect is not helping the water leak (door seal also needs replacing but that's a different issue).

Is it possible to fix this? I've tried putting a couple of self tapping screws in next to the rivets, but there doesn't seem to be anything for them to bite into - they just go into the foam and do nothing. I can't work out how the edge is fixed to the panel. Hopefully it's not just held in place by tension?

Probably be useful to others to know the make and model of your motorhome?
Sorry, thought that would come through from my profile. Dethleffs Eurostyle A63, 2008
