La strada regent 03
Hi everyone just wanted your advice - have just spent all my savings on a la strada motorhome to live in. Got a hab check, they took the water pump off to replace it, and didn't tell me they took the pump with them. Went for a drive and water now leaking out under drivers side, van door step even the rear, the carpet is damp. The water tank is inside and had been leaking where they removed the pump.

I've put a heater and dehumidifier on over night and drained down the tank but worried this will do permanent damage with damp or rust problems? Would be great if anyone could advise or reassure. La strada has double floor and internal water tank so i think the water has got trapped in double floor. Should insist they remove the floor to inspect or am I over reacting? Thanks as it is my home living full time so I am worried.

Try not to worry. Sounds like you have caught it in good time. Can’t believe a professional company didn’t tell you they had compromised your water system. I expect someone that has experience of your double floor will be along soon.

Thanks cush i have dried it but some water still leaking from front step. Will be great to hear from others if i need to take up the floor or if it should dry itself. I think approx 10l has spilled

It will dry in time, ensure lots of airflow and take up hatches where you can. It’s the summer and no lasting damage will likely result.

I wouldn’t be worried if it was mine.
