since 2006 ( I think ! )
The Grom was really nice to ride.
Handling was excellent, mpg amazing, riding position and comfort so good it felt like a big bike.........
Sadly not quite quick enough.. about the same as my Sym Crox scooter, 60ish mph
If you want a fun comfy ride, and are happy with the top speed, I would recommend a Grom without hesitation
But I was looking for something that had a little more top end, sooooooooooooo
CBR 125R joins the stable
It is a little heavier than the Grom ( and a LOT older LOL ! ) but still less than my carrying capacity at 120kG wet

Are you going to fit some No93 stickers?

Nice, John....... But an old Harley would have been better for you at your age...

Or even a Duke like my old one..:wink::giggler:

I owned a Hardly moving once. a Sportster.........
I had always slagged them off all the tme ( absolute GIT to work on ) so I thought it only fair to get one and give it a go

It was then I found out all my slagging off was for good reason LOL !!!
Never again !.
Keeping down wiv der kids?

I do like the Repsol pattern though.

Nahhhhhhhhh
Purely practical reasons
I wanted something light enough for the bike rack on the van, that would do motorway speeds :)

I actually light sports and sports touring bikes............ as well as tourers.. Had all sorts from a few CX500's up to the 1800 wing...........
If its got two wheels that is really the only important bit :-)

This one would do 80mph two up but weighs 160kg

In the advert.......

Full years MOT, new brake pads and rear rotor, recent chain and sprockets

Front brake calliper seized, rear the same........ but is did have new pads
Teeth on the front sprocket Capt. Hook would have proud of, chain covered in WD40 in an attempt to hide the rust
If this bike passed a legit MOT I am a bloody dutchman

So two calliper rebuild kits and DID with JT sprockets ordered

Also..................... Gear linkage seized so selecting gears is , errrrrrrr, interesting
Aftermarket levers that do not fit properly
Clutch cable goopy
Side stand stiff as a stiff thing on stiff pills
Windscreen missing bolts
Fastener lugs broke and missing on the fairing
Forks messed with and has a huge amount of preload
Zorst can has a massive dent in the top of it.. not an accident. It has been hammered in to it to make the hanger strap fit !!

So The winning bid was £1310

Discussed the matter with the sellers dad

Started off with.....
I gather the eBay account is yours then, but your son who just used it to advertise the bike ?

Yes. why ?

Because the crappy feedback and report ( with pictures ) to eBay is not gonna affect your son

Whats wrong mate ?

So I started with the blatant lies and mentioned the dodgy MOT

To say he was NOT a happy bunny does not adequately describe it

I explained I was happy to do the work, in fact I would enjoy it, but the cost of the parts is down to him
He immediately agreed to cover all parts

Looking forward to fettling it.. Only gonna do mechanical stuff.............. It will live on the back of the van so cosmetically, no matter what I do, it will soon look ropey !

Talking comfort, this does a good job of that

This was my fully dressed Wing
It was build as a parade leader ( even had flag pole holders on the tow bar )

Brian just did not believe such a monstrous thing could handle as well as it did :)
The trike i loved. The Wing not so.
Could like as Trike was in same as Wing
Here for the Trike ✅✅✅✅

Sorry can't like it but it is different.
It's funny isn't it, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I've tried, really tried but the latest Wings do nothing for me. The back end is a poor mans copy of a Harley and everything else is too angular. I am not talking here of the ride or the performance, just the appearance. ;)

Never looked to be honest.
So many people do not like the Goldwing.
So many people do not like the Hardley
So many people do like Hardley
So many people do like The Goldwing.
For me i am not bothered.
My Wing might be going to a new owner soon anyway.
To me it's old and got 8k on and 3/4 year old so time to go.
