Greece via Venice to Patras Ferry - good route or a bit grim?

Anyone done this route? Is it decent or is it mainly a trucker route and a bit grim?

Is camp on board finished on all Italy to Greece ferries now?

I think its finished now, i know it is on the Ancona routes with Anek/Superfast.

We've done a few from Venice and Ancona, camping on deck could be a lottery but if you get a good spot at the side it can be a great view entering and leaving port. Boarding could be a tad 'chaotic' at times.

We went from Ancona to Igoumentisa last year. We had a plain cabin. It’s very much a truckers route with really just 2 areas, a canteen serving large portions and a “lounge” area which was a little more comfortable. The 24 hour crossing wasn’t the highlight of the trip.
