Taking into account the government have banned Steam Trains from running because of the limited rainfall

Might a Steam Rally not suffer the same fate?

You can actually pay at the gate but it's dearer. I don't know if you can then elect to be with Fun. Unlike Warner's etc, they insist on doing all the stewarding so easy for me. I still pay full price.

There might be but I doubt it?
There is a vast difference between hundreds of miles of unattended Railway trackside and a field whereupon people are standing or it can be seen and dealt with.

They always have the fire brigade in attendance plus there are usually several classic red engines and green goddesses there. Some of those are fully functional.

Now booked for this rally - Tony & Theresa Bryson
Many thanks.

I have updated the first post in this thread. Please let me know if it's not correct. Managing two things at the same time, I am quite likely to post someone in Shepton that's only coming to Henham or vice versa. :oops2:

My tickets arrived for this today.

Advance booking of camping is £60 as stated and will stop W/C 9th Sept. However, you can just turn up and pay £65 on the gate and they will make every effort, but cannot guarantee that they will park you with Fun.

All attendees need to advise the stewards when arriving that you wish to park with MotorhomeFun. The tickets show only that you are camping and make no mention of who with so you need to flag it up else you may end up with Suffolk Centre, CAMC.

Tickets just arrived and, as you say, there is no mention of 'Fun' thanks for the advice.
Looks good!

We want to go but notice it says booking closes 5th Sept? The site allows me to book, will I still be able to get on with mhf if I book now?

Yes. Take the camping option and MotorhomeFun should appear as an option. Once pre-booked is closed, you can still pay at the gate and park with us but will pay I think it's a tenner more.

Pre book is already closed. Checked it earlier.

Now need to pay on the gate.

I have just been pm'd by someone saying they have just booked. 😲

Hi All.

I now have the list of names from Henham and have raised queries with some on my attendee list. There are 18 on Henham's list and 13 on mine? :oops2:

In addition there are 5 on my list that may not be on Henham's.

In summary we will be between 18 and 23 strong plus any others that are planning to turn up and pay at the gate.

Can I suggest that you should ensure that on arrival, every steward is aware you want to be parked with Fun.

Suggest you bring shoes/boots suitable for walking through long grass. They tend to mow the main thoroughfares well, but side area's can get a bit long which is an issue if it's wet.

See you all Friday

Robin & Hilary

Hi all. Just had confirmation that on arrival you need to say you are with MotorhomeFun, whether or not you have pre-booked. The window sticker with the tickets indicates that camping has been paid, not who you are camping with. Those with the Fun A4 name cards might want to have them visible.

Gates open at 10am Friday but there is no room to get off the road and queue so it might pay the early birds to time your arrival for a little after 10 rather than just before.

Best wishes .. Robin
