goto www.goodwood.co.uk but be quick as very popular event camping sites fills very quick, main sites behind goodwood hotel now full but they have opened new site no lecy 1/2 mile from event but free transport provided.

I believe Ciderman is going too. We're on the prime camping site opposite the hotel, feel free to pop over and say hello/compare stories/look at photos/share a beer or three. You can't miss our van, 7 metre Iveco Turbo Daily in bright red and black with a photo of the eclipse on the rear and my name on it, literally.

We are in the area behind the hotel as well, got our fun badge up in the van, Hymer with sheepskin covers should be easy to spot. Always good to meet funsters and have a drink. :thumb:

BTDTGTH

Done it twice, it's does not vary a whole lot. Both times have been glorious weather, maybe a third time would be pushing it.

This year we are going for the cheap option, Festival of 1000 bikes, Malory. As recommended by Eddie of Carol fame. Looks like it will be just as good on a two wheeled smaller scale.

Being the local Ford Dealer I get free tickets every year.

Spent most of today trying to give my tickets away, wish I'd thought of you guys before spotting this thread..........Griff:thumb:

Oh thank you popeye we are having a good time already had our bikes off and cycled all around the circuit, Ed was made up, not many people in but some how we just rode past on our bikes and had a great hour looking around the cars, the atmosphere here on the camp site is really good.

Maybe next year we will check if you have any tickets going before we book. will post some photo's in the next couple of days.

we're back now, had a fantastic time and saw and experienced lots. I even went round the rally stage in a Mk2 Escort RS 1800 (passenger of course), brilliant fun. Just got to sort through the 1000 or so photos I took and coupler of hours of video we shot, oh and save up for next year of course. I got a cracking shot of Stirling Moss in the C type Jaguar at the top paddock. I'll post a few later.

D.

As promised here's the first shot from Goodwood FoS, its a lo res of Sir Stirling Moss in a C type Jaguar at the top paddock of the hillclimb.

Moss and a C Type. The least you could do is arrange for it to play Rule Britannia.

Might be expensive but worth every penny.

It will be printed out professionally and hung on a wall somewhere Brian plus it will be in a DVD video I have to edit yet, just got to wade through the couple of hours of rushes and 500+ photos.

Here's a youtube clip of Phil Berry ( of AS Air suspesnion) and myself tackling a wheelchange challenge on a Le Mans style car, action starts at around 4 mins 50, from the video I reckon our best time was around 7.5- 8.0 seconds, best time out of the two competition runs was about 9 seconds.

Looking at the speed you work Dave, might be worth travelling up north to have anything done on the van, if you charge by the hour.:Rofl1:

Well done, looks like you have changed a few wheels in your time. :thumb: Bob.

I don't always move that fast, Mrs has been moaning at me for taking so long to check brakes on a motorhome today with comments like "where did the 10 second wheel change go?":Rofl1::Rofl1:
