Nice one mate, I’m an ex vehicle tech but
this is outside my sphere of knowledge because it has evolved relatively recently.
At present I run with 2 x 90ah Varta lead acid
habitation batteries in a 2014 Autotrail Tracker with a Sargent 500psu.
I only have an 80 watt factory fitted solar panel up top but augment that with a 100 watt suitcase panel when necessary.
My 2 batteries sit in sunken compartments with cover panels flush with the floor.
I thought 2 x 100 lifpo’s would sit comfortably in the same holes and make connecting very simple. But the rectifier location and connection is beyond me.
We don’t run a coffee machine, hair dryer, or any other high usage appliances, we just want to boil kettle, maybe the microwave that came with the van, a small tv and TalkTalk box, and just generally charging “stuff”.
That’s about the info mate, look forward to hearing from you.
