Any drawbacks going from 215 to 225 from what I understand I can put a 225 on the 215 rim without problem's are there any reasons I shouldn't go from 215 to 225 ?

215/70 is a different rolling radius than 225/70 so bear that in mind. The first number is the width, the second is the percentage of the width that represents the tyre wall. Black circles and Camskill have online calculators that provide the rolling radius for you..

Why is this important? If you don’t match up your rolling radius then you may well find speedo, gearing and final drive ratios in gears is out. Probably be negligible, but will be out none the less.

Plenty of tolerance.

Might want to infirm your insurers as it is classed as modifications

Very slightly heavier, lower acceleration. Potentially worse mpg. And you're revving about 5% lower at a given (GPS) speed, so it'll complain about down-shifting to 5th on the motorway more often. But more choice.

Thanks for the reply's guys, reading a bit more it seems my van which has glass windows down the side would have been a minibus with 225/75/16 if it wasn't a campervan so going to 225 putting it back to original spec, even so there doesn't look to be any major drawback.
