Apologies if this has already been posted but I received a gmail from one of my contacts earlier today which had a previously forwarded title in the subject box and contained a link to a message sent by the contact in the content box. When I clicked on the link it took me to what appeared to be the google login page at which point I thought 'scam'. I deleted the message and contacted my friend who confirmed he had not sent the message. I've looked online and it appears that the scammers have hacked his gmail account and then sent out the email as a reply to a previous email. If you fill in the login details on the fake google login page then the scammer gets access to your accounts and any others that use the same password according to online sites I've looked at. Hope this is of use..

This is not an uncommon scam and worth posting to remind others.

Have had a couple similar to this from people whose email accounts have been breached by scammers.
