I have noticed that the protective material on my drivers side step is lifting in a few areas. Is there a way to stick it back down with a glue ( not superglue) or should I just trim the raised pieces?

I think a bit of contact adhesive carefully applied would do the job, that's what I would do anyway and if all else fails remove and replace but that could be a big job.

That sounds a goer. Have some in the garage so will have a go with that! 👍👏
You would have to spray it into or onto something and then use it as a contact adhesive as in my experience it goes everywhere straight from the can and I certainly wouldn't be spraying it near my van.

Maybe onto a little artists brush.

.. the spay cans I use have a narrow spray beam.. width controlled by how hard you press the spray button..
i used about 8 cans when relining my van .. if you do overspray it can be removed with white spirit before it dries...
