Glomex satelite dome

Been having a look around some second hand PVC and came across one fitted to a van, inside controller states on switch astra 1 astra 2 and hotbird anyone heard of this make or got any experience of using one, normally I would not have one fitted by choice but when I asked dealer if it could be removed he said it would be difficult and seemed very surprised I would want it removed.

Fitted a glomex dome to my previous motorhome. Found it to be a good and reliable unit. Always locked on to satellite quickly, which was a godsend when I wanted a drink and she wanted to watch 'corrie'.
Think they are popular with the maritime community but not sure.

Seriously? Should you buy the pvc, Remove it yourself and sell it for £500 plus! Its well worth it.

I like that idea if I buy the van I may try it out for a while seeing as people seem quite impressed with it, as I say we watch very little tv when camping and what we do watch we normally stream.
